Leisure Services Manager Gil Spence recommends City Council approval to add
Exhibit A to our Golf Cart Lease Agreement with Yamaha Leasing, expanding our
number of golf carts from 40 to 50.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

SUBJECT: Golf Cart Lease Agreement
INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this memorandum is to request that the City Council approve adding
Exhibit A to our golf cart Lease Agreement with Yamaha Leasing, expanding our
number of golf carts from forty to fifty.
DISCUSSION
When the City took over operation of the golf carts last year, we leased forty carts from
Yamaha Leasing for $575 per cart per year for a five-year period.
Golf cart usage continues to increase and is at the point where we need to have ten
more on hand. We have rented extra carts by the day in the past to meet the demand
but are to the point where we are spending more for the daily cart rental than we would
for the annual lease payment. With the annual lease, the cart will be available every
day for usage.
Yamaha Leasing has agreed to add these ten extra carts to our present lease, at the
rate quoted in that lease.
RECOMMENDATION
I recommend that Exhibit A be approved and added to our Lease Agreement with
Yamaha Leasing, expanding our golf cart fleet from forty to fifty carts.
ACTION STEP
The action requested is that the City Council approve Exhibit A and add it to our
present Lease Agreement with Yamaha Leasing.

The Customer has leased or will be leasing equipment from Yamaha.
The Customer is required to provide Yamaha with the following insurance coverage:
"All Risk" Property Insurance covering the property owned by or in which Yamaha has a security interest, in an
amount not less than the full replacement cost of the property, with Yamaha named as LOSS PAYEE.
Public Liability Insurance naming Yamaha as an ADDITIONAL INSURED with the proceeds to be payable first
on the Behalf of Yamaha to the extent of its liability, if any. The amount of the Public Liability Insurance shall
not be less than $1,000,000.00 combined single limR.
Each policy shall provide that: (i) Yamaha will be given not less than thirty (30) days prior written notice of cancellation

Exemption Certificate Instructions
This exemption certificate is to be completed by the purchaser claiming exemption fi*om tax and given to the seller. The seller must retain this certificate
as proof that axemption has been properly claimed. The certificate must be complete to be accepted by the seller. The seller can accept an exemption
certificate only on property that is qualified (see the exemptions below) or based on the nature of the buyer. A seller failing to exercise due care could be
held liable for the sales tax due. If property or services purchased for resale or processing are used or disposed of by the purchaser in a nonexempt
manner, the purchaser is then responsible for the tax.
Exemptions:
Resale: Any person in the business of selling who is purchasing items to resell may claim this exemption. The purchaser can be acting as either a retailer
or wholesaler and may not be required to have a sales tax permit. Retailers who do have a sales tax permit number must enter it in the space provided.
Proeesalng: Exempt purchases for processing include tangible personal preperty which by means of fabrication, compounding, manufacturing or
germination becomes an integral part of other tangible personal property ultimately sold at retail; chemicals, solvents, sorbents or reagents used,

1. a self-propelled implement such as a tractor 2. a grain dryer (heater and blower only)
3. an implement customarily drawn or attached to a self-propelled implement in the performance of its function, such as a plow
4. auxiliary equipment improving safety, maintenance and efficiency of items I, 2, 3
5. tangible personal property that does not become a part of real property used directly and primarily in dairy and livestock operations
6. bailing wire, twine, wrapping and other similar items used in agricultural, livestock or dairy production
7. an essential replacement part for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
