Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, the Avoca Street
Storm Sewer Improvements Project was awarded on October 10, 2017, to Dave
Schmitt, Co., in the base bid amount of $87,295.
City Engineer Gus Psihoyos recommends that the award for the Avoca Street Storm
Sewer Improvements Project be officially recorded in the minutes of the City Council.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

The Avoca Street Storm Sewer Improvements Project will involve the reconstruction of three storm
intakes, the addition of six new intakes and construction of one storm manhole. There is
approximately 210 feet of 15" HDPE pipe and 375 LF of concrete curb and gutter to be installed.
Additionally, there is 145 SY of related sidewalk and ADA ramp work to be completed as part of this
project.
