July 24, 2002
TO: The Honorable Mayor and City Council Members
FROM: Michael C. Van Milligen, City Manager
SUBJECT: Sale of Vacant Lot 130 of Lenox Addition
A number of individuals recently contacted the City relative to the potential acquisition of
City-owned lots not currently being utilized for City purposes. Sealed bids were
accepted for City-owned property described as Lot 130 of Lenox Addition. Finance
Director Ken TeKippe states that the City has no plans for the utilization of said
property, recommends that the property be sold to the high bidders, Eric and Bonita
Timmerman, for a purchase price of $500, plus publication and filing fees, and that a
public hearing be set for August 19, 2002.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.
