Special Session, June 12, 2002
Council met at 5:00 p.m., City Hall Conference Room B
Present: Mayor Duggan, Council Members Buol, Cline, Connors, Markham, Michalski,
Nicholson, City Manager Michael Van Milligen
Mayor Duggan read the call and stated this is a Special Session of the City Council
called for the purpose of evaluating the City Manager.
Motion made to go into Closed Session in accordance with Ch. 21.5 1(i) 2001 Code of
Iowa, to evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment,
hidng, performance or discharge is being considered when necessary to prevent
needless and or irreparable injury to that individual's reputation and that individual has
requested a Closed Session. Motion carried 7-0.
City Manager Van Milligen left the Closed Session at 5:45 p.m.
Council reconvened in Regular Session at 5:47 p.m., indicating the evaluation had been
completed.
There being no further business, Michalski moved to adjourn. Seconded by Cline.
Motion carried 7-0. The meeting adjourned at 5:48 p.m.
