City Council, Special Session, July 23, 2002
Council met in Special Session at 4:45 P.M. in the Library Auditorium
Present: Mayor Duggan, Council Members Buol, Cline, Connors, Michalski, Nicholson, City
Manager Michael Van Milligen, Corporation Counsel Barry Lindahl.
Absent: Council Member Markham.
Mayor Duggan read the call and stated this is the special session of the City Council called for
the purpose of discussing the extension of the outdoor service liquor license for The Busted
Lift.
Extension of Outdoor Service Liquor License for a One Day Event for The Busted Lift: City
Manager submitting information on a request from John Finn, The Busted Lift, for extension of
the outdoor service liquor license for a one-day event on July 27, 2002; communication from
Frank J. Salwolke revoking his “no objection” to the July 27, 2002 event at The Busted Lift and
a Resolution Granting issuance of a Class C Beer/Liquor License (One Day Outdoor Service
Extension) for The Busted Lift, presented and read. The Council discussed the request.
Buol moved to receive and file the communications and adopt the Resolution. Seconded by
Cline. Vote on the motion was as follows: Yeas—Buol, Cline, Duggan. Nays—Connors,
Michalski, Nicholson. Motion failed.
There being no further business, upon motion meeting adjourned at 5:22 P.M.
