Approval of the Minutes of the November 12, 2008, Meeting Upon a motion by Ms. Tigges, seconded by Mr. Herrig, the Minutes of the November 12, 2008, Meeting were approved unanimously. Public Comment Mr. Barefoot said that some local film/video production people are getting together to form a club or an organization. The purpose of the club is to perhaps produce a film for fun, or to provide training, or assist in any outside productions that might shoot in the Tri-State area. An upcoming questionnaire of members will help determine the organization's future. They are leaning toward the title of Great River Film Initiative. Mr. Herrig brought up for discussion the lack of access listings in print. He wondered about the possibility of getting them reinstated in the TH or perhaps in the Dubuque Advertiser. Mr. Nowack said he had contacted the Advertiser. They were interested, but it would be difficult for them given the amount of space listings would require and the availability of space. Mr. Vincent wondered about listings in 365. Sr. Hoverman wondered if listings could be placed in the monthly utility bills the sends out, or in the Mediacom bill mailings. If it was possible, Mr. Nowack thought it would be difficult to get accurate information in time to make deadlines given the varying lengths of PEG programs. Sr. Hoverman asked about the problem with Channels 15 & 16. Mr. Barefoot said that he and Mr. Nowack have been working with Tightrope on the issues that have been occurring. There were problems with the installation of the equipment, but those have been addressed. Mediacom is now using beta software that addressed the lack of audio issue, but there are now encoding issues. He said that Mr. Nowack had written a forceful a-mail to Tightrope last night and today a software update came out and was installed at Mediacom. It's too early to tell if the encoding problems are solved.
