Dear Honorable Mayor and Council Members,
I would like to thank you for affording me the opportunity to work for the lovely city of
Dubuque this summer. Working as an Intern in your Legal Department was very rewarding. I
was continually surprised by what the community had to offer, and enjoyed my stay in the
community. I acquired hands on experience that my fellow students will envy. The knowledge,
comfort, and confidence that I gained will work to my advantage as I begin my final year of
school. I thank you for giving students like myself this chance.
The people and projects that I have worked on this summer vary, but my conclusion remains the
same. The City of Dubuque was the right choice as I begin my legal career.
