Judy Haley Giesen, chair of the committee would like to be put on the agenda for 3 minutes, to announce the One Book, One Dubuque initiative, an all-city "book club."All citizens in the city will be encouraged to read "To Kill a Mockingbird;' readily available for lend at the library and for purchase at River Lights Book Store. Judy will explain the program to the council on Sept. 16, and "lend" each city council member the book, to be personally read by them and then passed on to co-workers, or friends.
