Tiffany Ridge Intent to Dispose of PropertyMEMORANDUM September 10, 2002 TO:The Honorable Mayor and City Council Members FROM:Michael C. Van Milligen, City Manager SUBJECT:Sale of Property Along Tiffany Ridge Wayne Briggs donated two parcels of land to the City, this one north of Tiffany Court and south of the Northwest Arterial, and one north of the Northwest Arterial and adjoining Marshall Park. The donation was accepted to acquire the parcel adjoining the park. The intent was to sell this other parcel to the adjoining property owners on Tiffany Ridge. As there is no access to the property, its only value is to the adjoining property owners. Leisure Services Manager Gil Spence recommends adoption of a resolution of intent to dispose of City interest in Lots 1,2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 of Block 4 of Tiffany Ridge to the adjoining property owners, that the purchase price be established at $1.00, plus survey and filing fees, and that a public hearing be set for October 7, 2002. Van Milligen, City Manager FROM:Gil Spence, Leisure Services Manager SUBJECT:Sale of Property Along Tiffany Ridge INTRODUCTION The purpose of this memorandum is to request that the City Council adopt the attached resolution of intent to dispose of City interest in Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 of Block 4 of Tiffany Ridge and set a public hearing for October 7, 2002, on the sale of the property. DISCUSSION A drawing of this property is attached. There is no access to the property, so its only value is to the adjoining property owners. All property owners have agreed to purchase this property for $1.00, plus survey and filing fees. That the conveyance of Lot 2 of Block 4 of Tiffany Ridge in the City of Dubuque, Iowa, to Jeffrey and Jayne Duve be contingent upon the payment of $1.00, plus platting, publication and filing fees.
