Dear Mayor, Council, Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Committee,
I think you have a great tourist attraction right in your own backyard.
Reserrect and reconstruct the narrow guage railling (Z' guage) from
Dubuque to Cascade. This would bring in tourists from all over the US
(and world).
Trackage and cars are avalible in the northern states bordering Canada-
and in Canada. There would be a lot of interest in a project of this nature-
and a lot of peopleand companies would help. All the Iowa railroaders would
help with other volunteers.
And you can probably get "Vision Iowa" money for a project like this. Think
of the possibilities. and help you can get from Cascade and Jones County, and
Dubuque County.
