Claim Against the City By Portzen Construction, by Mike Portzen
Date of Claim Date of Loss Nature of Claim
09/25/02 04/08 - 04/13/02 Loss of Revenue
This is a claim in which claimant states that his company lost revenue in the amount of
$2,887.50, due to an alleged verbal agreement not being adhered to between Portzen
Construction, Inc. and Taylor Construction, Inc. Taylor Construction, Inc. was the
contractor for the Fengler Street Bridge Project.
According to the report of Mike Koch, Public Works Director, this claim is clearly a
contractual issue between Taylor Construction, Inc., and Portzen Construction, Inc.
It is therefore the recommendation of Mike Koch to deny this claim and refer the claimant
to Taylor Construction, Inc. to resolve the issue The Legal Department concurs with this
recommendation.

Claim of Portzen Construction, Inc.
(Fengler Street Bddge Project)
This noted claim is clearly a contractual issue between Taylor Construction, Inc.
and Portzen Construction, Inc. The City has no involvement whatsoever.
The issue appears to center around Taylor Construction having or was going to
hire Portzen as a subcontractor on the project.
