The Dubuque City Council met in special session at 5:45 p.m. on February 16, in the
Historic Federal Building
Present: Mayor Buol, Council Members Braig, Connors, Jones, Lynch, Resnick,
Voetberg, City Manager Van Milligen, City Attorney Lindahl
Mayor Buol read the call and stated that this was a special meeting of the City
Council called for the purpose of discussing the Convention and Visitors Bureau Budget
and Work Plan.
Convention and Visitors Bureau Director Keith Rahe introduced his staff, Marketing
Director Kelly Schiesl, Sales Director Julie Kromlage, Sales Manager Katie Simmons,
Welcome Center Manager Stacey Hubanks, Special Projects Manager Ben Leifker.
Rahe presented a slide show and highlighted the following goals and points:

Identify, engage and communicate the return on investment to members
