We are eager to have confirmation of our membership. As you know, Dubuque has been working on sustainability since 2006 when I, along with the Dubuque City Council, voted to make this our top priority. To date we have made great strides in advancing issues surrounding sustainability and have adopted a comprehensive vision statement and 11 sustainability principles to guide our community. Attached is a brochure that outlines these principles, including the principles of Smart Energy Use, Resource Management, Healthy Air and Clean Water. As we pursue implementation of projects and programs that support our sustainability vision, we recognize the importance of our membership as one of Iowa's roster of Clean Cities Coalition. Thank you again for your time and consideration. We look forward to working with you and Director Stanley for a more sustainable state. Very Truly Yours, Roy D.
