Proclamation_Rotary Exchange Days May 2009
PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, the Rotary Foundation programs serve to enrich the lives of participants,
foster international educational opportunities, and spread Rotary’s vision
of peace and world understanding; and
WHEREAS, the Group Study Exchange (GSE) Program of the Rotary Foundation is a
unique cultural and vocational exchange opportunity for young business
and professional men and women from around the world; and
WHEREAS, the GSE team members experience the host country’s institutions and
ways of life, observe their own vocations as practiced abroad, develop
personal and professional relationships, and exchange ideas; and
WHEREAS, the City of Dubuque joins with the Rotary Club of Dubuque in welcoming
the 2009 Italy GSE team represented by:

Team Members Paola Ferrari; Marco Masselli; Luca Carante; and
Carolina De Negri.
NOW THEREFORE I, ROY D. BUOL, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA, ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY COUNCIL, STAFF AND CITIZENS OF DUBUQUE, DO HEREBY
PROCLAIM MAY 2 THROUGH MAY 6, 2009 AS
