Government Body: CITY OF DUBUQUE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION

Present: Commissioners Mary Lynn Neuhaus, Dan White
Also present: Randy Peck, Steve Fehsal, Rick Steines, Jodi Johnson, Candace Eudaley-Loebach,
Mark Burkle, Cal Motsch, Kevin Esser, Bryan McDonald
1. Approval of minutes from the November 21, 2017 meeting. Motion by Neuhaus to approve the
minutes as submitted. Second by White. Motion carried 2-0.
2. Establish the passing score for the position of Assistant Fire Marshal from the examination given
on December 6, 2017. Motion by Neuhaus to approve the passing score at 67 and above correct
answers as recommended by Fire Chief Rick Steines and certify the list for the position of
Assistant Fire Marshal as read for two (2) years. Second by White. Motion carried 2-0. Mark
Burkle left the meeting at 4:32 p.m.
3. Establish the passing score for the position of Bus Operator from the examination given on
December 5, 2017. Motion by Neuhaus to set the passing score of 53 (74.6%) and above correct
answers and certify the list for the position of Bus Operator as read for one (1) year. Second by
White. Motion carried 2-0.
4. Schedule an entrance examination for the position of Forestry Technician. Motion by Neuhaus to set
the application deadline for January 19, 2018 at 5 p.m. with an examination date of January 30, 2018.
Second by White. Commissioner White to proctor. Motion carried 2-0.
5. Adjournment. Motion by White to adjourn at 4:36 p.m. Second by Neuhaus. Motion carried 2-0.
