I have recently met with Hydro Green Energy Chairman and CEO Wayne F. Krause and
he presented information on the U.S. Corps of Engineers plan to further research the
flexibility of installing hydroelectric power generation equipment on the auxiliary lock at
Lock and Dam #11 in Dubuque.
The City is supportive of Federal funding for the Corps of Engineers to further explore
the potential viability of this project and the potential partnership with Hydro Green
Energy.
