Our current focus is to raise the money to buy the land and we completely understand your concerns regarding that - if the city money were the last $95,000 and it would guarantee the purchase of the land to include the dog park -you would be much more willing to work with us. Our plan is to purchase the land this year through corporate and individual donations and grants. Then we will start raising the money for the building, the parking lot, and the amenities. It is a multi-year plan. Even with the $95,000 we would have to raise enough money for the grading, fencing, parking lot and the amenities for the dog park in a tight time frame. We also understand your wishes to have a dog park easily accessible to the downtown residents. We think having two dog parks in a town this size would be an excellent plan. If in the future you would consider a dog park on the west side of town, we would be more than willing to ~h~orl~, with you towards that goal. Thank you for your time and consideration. If you have any questions please contact me at 563-584-1925. Sincerely, ~- Jane McCall, President Cc: Mike Van Milligan, City Manager Cc: Jeanne Schneider, please copy for city council members
