Duggan and Members of the City Council DATE: January 2, 2003 RE: Claim Against the City By Greg & Peggy Stover, regarding the Fannie Stout House Claimant Date of Claim Date of Loss Nature of Claim Fannie Stout 03/11/02 11/16/01 House Property Damage This is a claim in which claimant states that City police backed into a fence on claimant's property, located at 12th & Bluff. According to the report of Kim Wadding, Chief of Police, this incident occurred on November 16, 2001 at approximately 12:45 p.m. Officer turned into the lot at 12th & Bluff, stdking a white picket fence located on the property. The investigating officer estimated the fence damage to be approximately $50.00, and $250.00 damage to the front bumper of police unit 1818. However, claimant has failed to provide an estimate or a copy of a bill for the damage to the fence. It is therefore the recommendation of Chief Wadding to deny this claim. The Legal Department concurs with this recommendation.
