Vehicle Damage
This is a claim in which claimant states that his vehicle was struck by a City of Dubuque
Fire Truck while vehicle was parked in the 700 block of Fenelon Street.
According to the report of E. Daniel Brown, Fire Chief, this incident occurred on November
29, 2002. As a City of Dubuque fire engine was eastbound on Fenelon Street to attend to
a structure fire, claimant's parked vehicle was struck in the 700 block of Fenelon Street.
It is therefore the recommendation of Chief Brown to approve this claim for the amount of
$1,767.11. The Legal Department concurs with this recommendation.

I've reviewed the claim that you faxed to me regarding the vehicle accident on
November 29, 2002 involving a vehicle owned by William Gerlach. His claim appears to
be in order with our records and I would recommend that we pay him accordingly.
