Vehicle Damage
This is a claim in which claimant Mates that his vehicle, while parked in the Operations
& Maintenance parking lot, was struck by a fire truck when an Operations &
Maintenance mechanic backed the fire truck out of the City Garage. Fire truck was
being serviced by Operations & Maintenance staff at the time of the incident.
According to the report of Don' Vogt, Operations & Maintenance Manager, this incident
occurred on January 6, 2003. Mr. Vogt confirms that claimant's vehicle was damaged as
a result of being struck by a'City of Dubuque fire truck, while truck was being backed out of
the City Garage subsequent to being serviced.
It is therefore the recommendation of Don Vogt to approve this claim for the amount of
$197.01, The Legal Department concurs with this recommendation,
