6 30 09 City Council Proceedings Official_Special CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA CITY COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS OFFICIAL The Dubuque City Council met in Special Session at 5:00 p.m. on June 30, 2009, In City Hall, Conference Room B Present; Mayor Buol, Council Members, Braig, Connors, Jones, Lynch, Resnick, Voetberg, City Manager Van Milligen Mayor Buol read the call and stated this is a special session of the City Council called for the purpose of conducting a closed session in accordance with Chapter 21.5 (1)(i) of the Code of Iowa. Upon motion Council went into Closed Session in accordance with Ch. 21.5 1(i) of the Code of Iowa, to evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment, hiring, performance or discharge is being considered when necessary to prevent needless and or irreparable injury to that individual’s reputation and that individual has requested a Closed Session. City Manager Van Milligen left the Closed Session at 6:00 p.m. Council reconvened in Regular Session at 6:05 p.m., indicating the evaluation had been completed. There being no further business, upon motion the City Council adjourned at 6:06 p.m. /s/Jeanne F.
