Others Present: Personnel Manager Randy Peck, Acting Police Chief Terry Tobin
Personnel Manager Randy Peck requested that Agenda Item #6 be moved ahead of
Agenda Item #5. Commission agreed to the change.
1. Approve Minutes of May 14 and May 15, 2009
Motion by Schilling to approve the minutes as written. Seconded by White.
Motion carried 2-0.
2. Establish Passing Point and Certify List for the Position of Parking System
Technician
Motion by White to establish the passing point for the position of Parking System
Technician at 66 percent and to certify the list as read. Seconded by Schilling.
Motion carried 2-0.
3. Establish Passing Point and Certify List for the Position of Engineering
Technician
Motion by Schilling to establish the passing point for the position of Engineering
Technician at 60 percent and to certify the list as read. Seconded by White.
Motion carried 2-0.
4. Establish Passing Point and Certify List for the Position of GIS Specialist
Motion by Schilling to establish the passing point for the position of GIS
Specialist at 69 percent and to certify the list as read. Seconded by White.
Motion carried 2-0.
6. Request to Schedule Promotional Examination for the Position of
Equipment Operator II
Motion by Schilling to schedule a promotional examination for the position of
Equipment Operator II, that the application deadline be 5:00 p.m. on June 24,
2009, and that the test be administered at 6:30 p.m. on July 7, 2009. Seconded
by White. Motion carried 2-0.
5. Approve Testing Procedure and Schedule Promotional Examinations for
the Positions of Police Captain, Police Lieutenant, and Police Corporal
Motion by Schilling to approve the testing procedure for the various positions
and to schedule the following promotional examinations: Police Corporal –
application deadline of 5:00 p.m. on July 10 with an examination date of July 21;
Police Captain – application deadline of 5:00 p.m. on July 31 with an
examination date of August 11; and Police Lieutenant – application deadline of
August 14 with an examination date of August 25. Seconded by White. Motion
carried 2-0.
