7. Narrative Description:
This property is located in the Langworthy Historic District. StyleNear: 1923 (blueprints),
Colonial/Georgian Revival, triple-rounded dormers, jerkinhead roof, end chimney, matching round roof
bracketed entry hood, ornate elongated ground level windows and centered entryway, quoin-like corner
brick treatment.
Physical Description: Two-story side gable rectangular 25x40 plan with 8x16.5' rear wing. Stone
foundation.
Alterations: Very well preserved. Permits note re-roofings in 1947 and 1997, adding 22x23 addition
with garage in 1993 ($22,754), adding 10.6x19 screen porch, 1996 ($9,000).
Landscaping/Setting: Level site.
8. Narrative Statement of Significance:
Original Owner/Builder: S. Houston and Nellie Hazleton were the first listed residents in 1923. He was
secretary-treasurer for the Becker-Hazleton Co. They lived at 768 Nevada as of 1921
