Narrative Description: This property is located in the West Eleventh Street Historic District. Style/Year: recent Physical Description: single story former garage, pyramid roof, square plan (24x24), converted to apartment, likely associated with house to the east, stucco exterior, middle portion of plan (27x24) is at least two-stories high, gable front roof, all concrete with east deck/walkout on lower floor, third component on Wilbur is two-story gable front house (24x18)-1950 Sanborn makes no distinction and offers one address to north. Alterations: Garage door on front infilled, door and window to left of same. Permits note re-roofings in 1994 (flat roof, part of lower roof), 1997 (partial). Stucco garage crossed out on 1971 Assessor’s form. Landscaping/Setting: brick driveway to north, stucco wall and metal fence to east. 8. Narrative Statement of Significance: Original Owner/Builder: Thomas O’Malley bought from Marion Jones. Building History: former garage converted for residence in 1974, this and two-story “studio garage” containing three apartments, Wilbur Street portion contained three bedrooms. Sanborn Map (1909/50) indicates “Auto House” and describes concrete first story, tile second with two-story stone residence fronting south. M. Ludwig owned the parcel when it was sewered c.1894. 9.
