Narrative Description: This property is located in the West Eleventh Street Historic District. Style/Year: pre-1889/1886 (Assessor), Italianate style two-story side gable duplex (elongated lower front windows, side bays, cross gable, probable original brackets now lost). Might be Modified Gothic see if front dormer window is pointed. Physical Description: broad rectangular plan (24x32 with centered two-story rear wing, 12x24, side porches 12x4), gable roof cross dormer centered on front, symmetrical fenestration, end wall roof ridge chimneys, single-story three-sided bays centered on each side wall, rear portion of plan narrows with gable roof cap and side porches infill resulting voids, stone foundation, Neo Classical era porch (c.1910). Centered and paired doors on front. Centered rear porch measures 4x12. Alterations: asbestos siding, two center upper front windows apparently sealed off, porch with round columns, doors reduced. Permits note re-roofings in 1940 (655), 1977 (655-57), 1996 (655-57), front porch 30x6 reconstructed 1992. Assessor, 1971, indicates 10x17 shed on property? Landscaping/Setting: parcel rises to the north, good setback, fronts south. 8. Narrative Statement of Significance: Building History: John Ford owned the parcel when it was sewered c.1894. Tap dates to August 23, 1915. First listing William Buchman, 1921, for 655 (95), and D. J. Conzett, 1899, for 657 (97). 9.
