The meeting was sponsored by Mercy Housing Midwest, whose main office is located in
Omaha, Nebraska. The meeting was convened at 11:30am and was chaired by Mary
Schoen-Clark, Midwest Region President.

A general discussion of affordable housing issues was conducted, with participation by
Housing Trust Fund Committee members and a number of other members of the general
public. The meeting was closed at 1:00pm, after which time a number of persons, including
a quorum of the membership of the Housing Trust Fund Committee, transported to the site of
the former Dubuque Casket Factory, located at 1798 Washington Street. The building was
toured for purposes of assessment of its suitability for conversion to affordable rental
housing.
