Narrative Description: This property is located in the West Eleventh Street Historic District. Style/Year: pre-1889, two-story gable front brick vernacular side hall plan. Italianate style porch and two surviving 2/2 windows on lower front. Physical Description: elevated rectangular plan (30x20 core) on stone foundation, right hand entry, entry with transom, symmetrical fenestration, double rowlock brick window arches, stone sills, original full-width hip roof porch (4’6”x18) with brackets, decorative trim work and square posts. Single-story gable roof rear brick wing (16x14), minimal north wall fenestration due to stairs and hall. Tall single attic light. Basement windows have brick window arches. Rear side porch measures 16x6. Alterations: well preserved. Permits note re-roofings in 1946, 1987, porch rebuilt1939, west exterior wall rebuilt 2000. Landscaping/Setting: placed on very steep hill, ground level plunges down to the south, fronts east. 8. Narrative Statement of Significance: Building History: appears to be present on 1889 birds eye view. The first directory listing found places Patrick J. McAloon here in 1899. He was at 42 Rock in 1896. 9.
