Narrative Description: This property is located in the West Eleventh Street Historic District. Style/Year: post-1889, pre-1899, two-story gable front vernacular brick duplex. Physical Description: rectangular core (43x28’6”), rear wing with garage (12x28’6”), front porch (4x12), stone foundation. Alterations: frame canopy in lieu of porch (latter full width present 1950). Permits note re-roofings in 1962, 1998, outside stairway 1951, basement garage in rear 1966 ($600). Landscaping/Setting: corner location, fronts west, ground rises to the north, drops to the south, east. 8. Narrative Statement of Significance: Building History: permit for 1006, demolition, no date. John Nagle owned the parcel when it was sewered (no date). The sewer tap dates to July 31, 1911. Directories first place Jacob Kuhn at 1006/30 in 1899, and P. S. and Peter Ballaugh at 1008/32 in 1899. Mary Kuhn remained at 1006 through 1921. 9.
