Narrative Description: This property is located in the West Eleventh Street Historic District. Style/Year: c.1925-26, cubic plan. Physical Description: originally a two-story frame cubic plan (26x32) with hip roof, east-facing gable roof dormer and east (5’6x8) and west (8x16) porches, three-sided bay on east side (4x8). Present building doubles size and eliminates any historical integrity. Alterations: Permits note re-roofings in 1933, 1944, 1961, 1981, garage built 1941, re-sided 1956, 24x24 detached garage 1980. Landscaping/Setting: later infill on terrace, fronts east. 8. Narrative Statement of Significance: Original Owner/Builder: Hugh and Susan Chandler House. Building History: 1950 Sanborn Map shows as two-story plan with east end three-sided bay and single story west addition with road access. Ambrose and Mary Graver own 1938-1955+. Changes post-date 1955. Hugh and Susan Chandler (he was a machinist for A. Y. McDonald) first listed here 1927-29. 9.
