This is a claim in which claimant alleges that her 3-year old daughter, Evelyn, got her
finger stuck in a round opening of a park bench seat while at the AY McDonald Park.
After many unsuccessful attempts were made to free the finger from the park bench
seat, paramedics were called. The paramedics were also unable to free the finger from
the park bench seat. Therefore, the seat portion of the bench was removed and Evelyn
and the seat were transported to the hospital.
This claim has been referred to Public Entity Risk Services of Iowa, the agent for the Iowa
Communities Assurance Pool.
