Proclam Darina Baranchikova
WHEREAS, the City of Dubuque, Iowa, USA, is honored to host individuals from
other areas of the world through the Iowa Resource for International
Service; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Darina Baranchikova is involved in a Municipal Youth Center in
Hemmene, Slovakia and is here to network, job shadow and gain
practical experience from our City leaders who work in the Youth
Services area; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Baranchikova will be working numerous City departments and
partner agencies including Dubuque’s Leisure Services Department,
the Boys and Girls Club, the Girl Scouts, Neighborhood
organizations, St. Mark’s Community Center and the Dubuque
Community Y organization; and
WHEREAS, we are very happy that Ms. Baranchikova is visiting and immersing
herself in our culture as she studies our experiences in the Youth
Services programs and we also hope to learn from her and her
experiences and worldview; and
WHEREAS, we are hopeful that this visit with our City and community leaders
and other citizens will truly strengthen the international friendship
that surpasses many other bonds, especially during this divisive
time in our world.
NOW THEREFORE, I, TERRANCE M. DUGGAN, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF
DUBUQUE, IOWA, ON BEHALF OF ITS CITY COUNCIL, CITY STAFF, AND
CITIZENS OF THIS COMMUNITY, SINCERELY WELCOME MS. DARINA
BARANCHIKOVA OF HEMMENE, SLOVAKIA AND HOPE THAT HER STAY IS
EXCEPTIONALLY EDCUATIONAL AND ENJOYABLE.
