Bicycle Licenses Ordinance Amendment FY2004 ORDINANCE NO. 8-03
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
DUBUQUE, IOWA, SECTION 9-.31 "REGISTRATION FEES" FOR BICYCLES
BY INCREASING THE FEES
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DUBUQUE, iOWA:
Section 1. Sec. 9-31 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Dubuque, Iowa is
amended to read as follows:
Sec. 9-31 Registration Fees.
(a) For registrations on or after Mamh 1, 2003, the fee for a bicycle registration
shall be five dollars ($5.00). The license shall be valid for the length of time the bicycle
is owned by the person to whom the license is issued.
(b) Bicycle registration fees shall not be prorated, refundable or transferred.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect on Mamh 1, 2003.

Effect of Amendment
Sec. 9-31. Registration fees:
(a) The fee for a bicycle registration for years 1998 and 1999 shall be one
dollar ($1.00) valid until December 31,1999
(ab) For registrations on and after January 1, 2000, the fee for a bicycle
registration sahll be three dollars ($3.00), valid for a maximum of three (3) years
and expiring December 31 of the second calendar year after the calendar year of
registration. For registrations on or after March 1, 2003, the fee for a bicycle
registration shall be five dollars ($5.00). The license shall be valid for the Iength of
time the bicycle is owned by the person to whom the license is issued.
(b) Bicycle registration fees shall not be prorated, refundable or transferred.
