Minutes Conference Bd 1 21 03City Conference Board Meeting January 21, 2003 In accordance with the provision of Chapter 441.16 of the 1999 Code of Iowa, the Dubuque City Conference Board met in the Carnegie Stout Library Auditorium on 3ra Floor, 260 West 11th Street, Dubuque, Iowa at 4:30 p.m. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Conference Board's Negotiator. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Terry Duggan at 4:30 p.m. Roll call was taken. Those present were: City Council: Mayor Terry Duggan Joyce Connors Dan Nicholson Ann Michalski arrived m 4:33 School Board: Donna Bauerly Karen Behr Ted Stieber Supervisors: Donna Smith Jim Wailer Also present was John Ganshirt, negotiator for the City Conference Board and Dubuque City Assessor, Rick Engelken. The first order of business was approval of the minutes of the March 4, 2002 City Conference Board meeting. A motion was made by Mr. Waller and seconded by Mr. Nicholson to approve the minutes. All members voted "Aye." Motion carried. Ms. Bauerly made a motion to enter closed session to discuss issues pertaining to a collective bargaining agreement with the union. Ms. Smith seconded the motion. All members voted "Aye." Motion carried. The Conference Board then entered closed session. Mayor Duggan left the meeting at 5:25 p.m. Ms. Smith then made a motion to exit the closed session and resume with the meeting. Mr. Waller seconded the motion. Ail members voted "Aye." Motion carried. Discussion then followed on how the City Assessor's raise is negotiated and the upcoming budget hearing for the City Assessor's Office. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2003 at the Carnegie-Stout Public Library at 4:00 p.m. Ms. Smith then made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Stieber seconded the motion. All members voted "Aye." Motion carded. Meeting adjourned at 5:35 p.m.
