Narrative Statement of Significance: Historical Notes: Rufus Rittenhouse builds block of eight houses on Summit Street...admirably located…good neighborhood and delightful view…well built, having every convenience…(Times, August 24, 1857). The 1873-74 directory identifies the following potential tenants: thth D. D. Myers, CD&MRR engineer, might have occupied south half of duplex at that time (4 south of 5) rd Agent Daniel M. Curtis, 3 north of Fenelon, likely in 427. Dorrance D. Myers (Lot 427) and John Derry (Lot 433) own when sewered. City Directory Notes: (87-93 Summit Street) Dorrance D.
