Proclamation Laszlo SzalkaiPROCI AMATION
WHEREAS,
the City of Dubuque, Iowa, USA, is honored to host individuals from
other areas of the world through the Iowa Resource for International
Service; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Lazlo Szalkai is the head of the Information Services in Vezprem,
Hungary and is here to network, job shadow and gain practical
experience from our City leaders who work in the Information
Services area; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Szalkai will be working with numerous City departments and
partner agencies including our Cable TV and Telecommunications
Division, Carnegie Stout Library, Dubuque Community Schools,
University of Dubuque, Clarke College, Cartegraph, and other
relevant businesses; and
WHEREAS,
we are very happy that Mr. Szalkai is visiting and immersing himself
in our culture as he studies Dubuque's various offerings in his field
and we also hope to learn from him and his experiences and
worldview; and
WHEREAS,
we are hopeful that this visit with our City and community leaders
and other citizens will truly strengthen the international friendship
that surpasses many other bonds, especially during this divisive
time in our world.
NOW THEREFORE, I, TERRANCE M. DUGGAN, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF
DUBUQUE, IOWA, ON BEHALF OF ITS CITY COUNCIL, CITY STAFF, AND
CITIZENS OF THIS COMMUNITY, SINCERELY WELCOME MR. LASZLO SZALKAI
OF VEZPREM, HUNGARY AND HOPE THAT HIS STAY IS EXCEPTIONALLY
EDCUATIONAL AND ENJOYABLE.
