Chairperson White called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. and the Commission heard testimony
regarding the appeals of Tony Severson and Mark Neyens:
1. Hearing on appeal of Tony Severson
Attorney Barry Lindahl appeared for the City of Dubuque
Teamsters Local 120 Eastern Iowa Director Dave Baker appeared for Tony Severson
Upon concurrence, the witnesses were sworn in.
Opening statements were given by Lindahl and Baker
Witnesses for the City of Dubuque:
Don Vogt
Exhibits 1-11 entered into evidence
Witnesses for Mr. Severson:
Tony Severson
Chad Berendes
Exhibits 1-3 entered into evidence
Summations
were made by Lindahl and Baker
Motion:
Takes moved to uphold the one-day suspension without pay. Seconded by Schilling.
Motion carried 2-1 with White voting nay.
Break: 1:52 to 1:58 p.m.
2. Hearing on appeal of Mark Neyens
