Buol and Members of the City Council DATE: RE: Claimant October 15, 2009 Claim Against the City of Dubuque by Joseph & Dixie Rubino, filed by Attorney Linda Hall Date of Claim Joseph & Dixie Rubino 10/13/09 Date of Loss 12/12/08 Nature of Claim Personal Injury This is a claim in which claimant alleges that after visiting the Diamond Jo Casino, he was walking to his vehicle from the stairwell/elevator corridor area of the City of Dubuque Public Parking Facility, and failed to realize that there was adrop-off between the door and the parking area. As a result, he fell forward, striking his head, hands and knees on the pavement. This claim has been referred to Public Entity Risk Services of Iowa, the agent for the Iowa Communities Assurance Pool. cc: Michael C.
