Dear City of Dubuque,
Our company, along with Autism Speaks and the Organization of Autism Research (OARj, appreciate
your support towards our run/walk benefiting autism. Our event was a wonderful success. On behalf of
our staff here at Unified Therapy Services, I would like to thank you for helping me with the application
for this event. The proceeds from the event will be donated to the 2non-profit autism organizations
listed above, which generate vital funds for research and help raise awareness about the increasing
prevalence of autism.
Breaking news showed that 1 out of 91 people are affected with autism. That's 1% of our American
population. Our slogan at Unified Therapy Services is "Together We Can Make A Difference", and on
Saturday October 17, 2009 I believe we did. This was our 15t annual run/walk, but not our last. We will
continue to host this event every year so we can again, Make a Difference in the fight against autism.
Each year Autism Speaks and OAR continue to advance their grassroot efforts and mission to change the
future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders. Through the combined efforts of Unified
Therapy Services, we have seen many lives changed for the better as a result of our services such as
occupational, speech and physical therapy.
Again, your commitment to helping autism in our community is sincerely appreciated. We look forward
to the ongoing support of your business for future events. Thank you once again for your generous
support.
