Narrative Description: This is a well preserved example of a two-story brick, side gable double house. The massing is broad and deep (33x34) and a centered cross gable, with broken raised pediment, ornaments the whole. There is a full-width front porch (31x5), likely a post-1900 replacement given its classical columns. Twin corner single story recessed porches measure 4x10. Fenestration is symmetrically arranged with double entryways and a paired window set above, and paired round arched attic lights above them. Heavy stone lintels head each window. The brickwork appears to be a veneer with no rowlock courses evident. Richardsonian-like attic window arches hint at a mid-1890s building date. There is a stone foundation and the brick is brown in color. A garage dates to 1955. 8. Narrative Statement of Significance: This is a substantial and well preserved brick double house example. Any determination of individual historical significance must await a review of all similar examples. The Assessor dates the house to 1900. The doublehouse appears on the 1891 Sanborn Map. 9.
