Proclam Diana TurlakovaPROCI AMATION
WHEREAS,
the City of Dubuque, Iowa, USA, is honored to host individuals from
other areas of the world through the Iowa Resource for International
Service; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Diana Turlakova is a director of a Foreign Language Center in
Star Zagora, Bulgaria and is here to network, job shadow and gain
practical experience from our City and community leaders; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Turlakova supervises the music, art and dance departments of
the community and is the national coordinator for the Young
Learners Special Interest Group of the Bulgarian Association of
Teachers of English, organizing various activities; and
WHEREAS,
we are very happy that Ms. Turlakova is visiting and immersing
herself in our culture as she studies our various Dubuque Schools
and other partner agencies and we also hope to learn from her and
her experiences and worldview; and
WHEREAS,
we are hopeful that this visit with our City and community leaders
and other citizens will truly strengthen the international friendship
that surpasses many other bonds, especially during this divisive
time in our world.
NOW THEREFORE, I, TERRANCE M. DUGGAN, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF
DUBUQUE, IOWA, ON BEHALF OF iTS CITY COUNCIL, CITY STAFF, AND
CITIZENS OF THIS COMMUNITY, SINCERELY WELCOME MS. DIANA
TURLAKOVA OF STAR ZAGORA, BULGARIA AND HOPE THAT HER STAY IS
EXCEPTIONALLY EDCUATIONAL AND ENJOYABLE.
