Council met in Special
Session at 6:15 P.M. in the
Library Auditorium
Present: Mayor Duggan,
Council Members Buol, Cline,
Connors, Markham, Michalski,
Nicholson, City Manager
Michael Van Milligen
Mayor Duggan read the call
and stated this is a special
session of the City Council
called for the purpose of dis-
cussing various City depart-
mental budgets.
Five Flags Civic Center: After
reviewing the budget, Council
requested a Work Session on
the CSL Report - Convention,
Sports and Leisure.
Recreation Division: After
reviewing the budget, a rec-
ommendation for more coop-
erative events with Central
High School was suggested.
Park Division: After reviewing
the budget and in answer to a
query, assurance was given
that there is a sufficient num-
ber of Park Rangers.
Economic Development
Department: A review of the
past and proposed major eco-
nomic developments was pre-
sented.
Rhodes (Bud) Isenhart, 8908
Quail Ridge Ct., spoke com-
mending staff for the major
construction projects and
requested an annual status
report as to creation and
retention of jobs in TIF dis-
tricts,
Transit Division: After review-
ing the budget, it was request-
ed that bus service to the new
west end Mall off Asbury Road
be considered.
Parking Division: After
reviewing the budget, the
comment was made that suffi-
cient handicapped parking in
the ramps needs to be provid-
ed.
There being no further busi-
ness, upon motion meeting
adjourned at 8:07 P.M.
