Message: To: City Council Members From: Lisa Johnson, President of Friendly Intelligent Dog Owners (FIDO) Recently, the Dubuque
Parks Department submitted a priority in their budget of establishing a new city dog park that was accepted and also recommended
by the City Manager. Our local organization, FIDO, is thrilled with this decision. We are grateful that the city has listened to our
request and acted upon this idea to bring it further towards fruition. You can count on our enthusiastic support! We sincerely hope
to be a part of the process of developing this new off leash area in terms of where the park will be established and what amenities it
must have. We are a small local organization, but we may be able to help hold a fundraising campaign to assist in financing this
much-needed park. Establishing a large off -leash park for pets and their owners is one of FIDO's main objectives. We heartily
