Hon. Mayor & City Council:
Now that your body is in the budget process, I have a request.
Since Eagle Point Park has been put on the National Register of
Historic Places, tourism will undoubtedly increase to see the park.
Could you find it in your hearts to install flag poles at the
entrance to the park. I would suggest two places. 1 - By the toll
booth entering the park. 2 - In the circle by the eagle in the
turnround entering the park. Either place would catch the eye of
the tourist.
As I look at the BEE BRANCH project, flags are displayed at 24fil
St., 22. St., 20th St., and on Garfield Av.
I feel it is reasonable to display our flags at an historic place such
as the park.
