As a project manager, I work to identify the stakeholders from all of the impacted groups involved in a change. My task is to appropriately manage their input and provide an environment of open communication to reach a win-win outcome for the given project. One of the major focus areas of project management is risk management. A goal of the commission is to address vulnerabilities of the city. Risk management requires a collaborative effort to identify as many risks as possible that impact a project. Risks can include both threats and opportunities. I have experienced great success at building plans to take full advantage of opportunities and minimize the effect of the threats. I have a calling to help people and serve. I have been out of the Army for several years, and since that time I have been searching for a venue to volunteer my time and skills to a good cause. I love our city.
