SUMMARY: City Manager recommending approval of an amendment to
the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Teamsters
Union Local No. 120 to provide for a work week that
consists of ten hours per day and four days per week for
the Maintenanceworker, Airfield Maintenanceworkers and
Airport Mechanic assigned to the Airport Department.

DATE: February 26, 2018
Personnel Manager Randy Peck recommends City Council approval of an amendment
to the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Teamsters Union Local No. 120 to
provide for a work week that consists of ten hours per day and four days per week for
the Maintenanceworker, Airfield Maintenanceworkers and Airport Mechanic assigned to
the Airport Department.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

SUBJECT: Amendment to the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of
Dubuque and Teamsters Local No. 120

I have attached an amendment to the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the
Teamsters Union to provide for a work week that consists of ten (10) hours per day and
four(4) days per week for the Maintenanceworker, Airfield Maintenanceworkers and
Airport Mechanic assigned to the Airport Department. The amended articles are
holidays, casual days, hours of work, overtime and shift premium. The Amendment
would be in effect from April 23, 2018 through September 28, 2018. The requested
action is for the City Council to approve a motion authorizing you to sign the
Amendment.

AMENDMENT
TO THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE
TEAMSTERS LOCAL UNION NO. 120
AND
THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA
The parties hereby agree to amend Article 22, Holidays, Article 23, Casual Days, Article
25, Hours of Work, Article 26, Overtime and Article 27, Shift Premium to provide for a
work week that consists of ten (10) hours per day and four (4) days per week for the
Maintenanceworker, Airfield Maintenanceworkers and Airport Mechanic assigned to
Airport Department. Employees will receive eight (8) hours of pay for each holiday and
casual day. One and one half (1 1/2) times the regular rate of pay shall be paid for hours
worked over forty (40) hours per week or ten (10) hours per day.
This Amendment applies only to the Maintenanceworker, Airfield Maintenanceworkers
and Mechanic assigned to the Airport Department who work a ten (10) hour work day
and it will be in effect from April 23, 2018 through September 28, 2018.
