In accordance with the competitive quotation requirements for public improvements, the
2018 Asphalt Overlay Access Ramp Project One was awarded on February 14, 2018, to
D & D Concrete, Inc., in the base bid amount of$79,185.35.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

RE: 2018 Asphalt Overlay Access Ramp Project One
The 2018 Asphalt Overlay Access Ramp Project One will provide for the removal,
realignment and reconstruction of corner access ramps in the area of E 24t" and White
Streets, E 24t" and Jackson Streets, Garfield Avenue and Johnson Street, Lincoln Avenue
and Johnson Street, Johnson Street at Prospect Street, and Johnson and East 22na
Streets. The project will coincide with the Public Works Department Street Overlay
Program.
The following is a summary of bids received for the 2018 Asphalt Overlay Access Ramp
Project One:
Contractor Base Bid
D & D Concrete, Inc. $79,185.35
McDermott Excavating $88,570.68
Midwest Concrete, Inc. $109,220.10
Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, this project was
awarded on February 14, 2018 to D & D Concrete, Inc. of Dubuque, lowa, in the base bid
amount of$79,185.35.
This portion of the funding will be funded as follows:
