WHEREAS, Dubuque is a city known for its spirit of volunteerism and community price; and
WHEREAS, Young Professionals of Dubuque is an organization in Dubuque committed to making
the city a wonderful place to live, work and play; and
WHEREAS, Dubuque Days of Caring is a community event where more than 1200 volunteers
conduct projects at non-profits and other locations throughout the city; and
WHEREAS, Dubuque Days of Caring benefits not only those non-profits but the entire City of
Dubuque.
NOW THEREFORE, I, ROY BUOL, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA, ON BEHALF OF
THE CITY COUNCIL, STAFF AND THE CITIZENS OF DUBUQUE, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM THE
27r" DAY OF APRIL, 2018 AS
DUBUQUE DAYS OF CARING
IN THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA.
