INTRODUCTION
This memorandum is a request for approval of the Plat of Survey for Dubuque Industrial
Center North Third Addition in the City of Dubuque per a Development Agreement with
Medline Industries, Inc.
BACKGROUND
City staff have negotiated a Development Agreement with Medline Industries, Inc. for an
expansion of its operations in the Dubuque Industrial Center Economic Development
District. In order to accomplish the goals of the Development Agreement, the City plans
to sell a parcel of land to the company for a new, larger facility. The Agreement is
scheduled for public hearing on May 21, 2018.
The attached plat delineates the parcel to be sold to the company. In order to finalize
preparations for the Development Agreement, the plat will need to be approved and
recorded. Approval at this time will allow for recording before the contemplated closing
date.
DISCUSSION
In accordance with the Development Agreement, the existing industrial park property
needs to be divided via a simple division plat. The platting of the park area has been
coordinated with Medline Industries, Inc.
IIW, P.C. has prepared the attached simple division plat. Lot 1 of Dubuque Industrial
Center North Third Addition is to be conveyed to Medline Industries, Inc. as per the
Development Agreement.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Plat of Survey of Dubuque Industrial Center North Third
Addition in the City of Dubuque be approved and signed by the Mayor and City Clerk to
create a lot division for the purposes described above.
ACTION TO BE TAKEN
I respectfully request approval of the Plat of Survey of Dubuque Industrial Center North
Third Addition through the adoption of the enclosed resolution.

CENTER NORTH THIRD ADDITION IN THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA
Whereas, there has been presented to the City Council of the City of Dubuque, Iowa,
a plat dated the 3rd day of March, 2018, prepared by IIW, P.C., dividing and re -platting
Lot 2 of Dubuque Industrial Center North Second Addition in the City of Dubuque, Iowa,
to be hereinafter known as Dubuque Industrial Center North Third Addition in the City of
Dubuque, Iowa; and
Whereas, said plat conforms to the laws and statutes pertaining thereto.
