MINUTES
Government Body: CITY OF DUBUQUE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
Date: April 26, 2018

Place of Meeting. City Hall, Conference Room A, 50 W. 13th St.
Present: Commissioners Dan White, Christian Stillings
Also present: Bob Schiesl, Gus Psihoyos, Randy Peck, Laura Carstens, Mark Dalsing
Approval of minutes from the February 27, 2018 meeting. Motion by White to approve the minutes
as submitted. Second by Stillings. Motion carried 2-0.
2. Schedule an entrance examination for the position of Assistant Planner. This will be a
"take- home" style exam. Motion by White authorizing Personnel Director Peck to set the date for
submission of applications and the exam deadline date. Second by Stillings. Motion carried 2-0.
3. Schedule an entrance examination for the position of Engineering Technician. This will be a
"take- home" style exam. Motion by White authorizing Personnel Director Peck to set the date for
submission of applications and the exam deadline date. Second by Stillings. Motion carried 2-0.
City Engineer Psihoyos and Assistant City Engineer Schiesl left the meeting at 1:36 p.m.
4. Schedule an entrance examination for the position of Records Clerk. Motion by White to set the
application deadline for May 14, 2018 at 5 p.m. with an examination date of May 30, 2018. Second by
Stillings. Commissioner Stillings to proctor. Motion carried 2-0.
5. Adjournment. Motion by White to adjourn at 1:40 p.m. Second by Stillings. Motion carried 2-0.
