Subject: Request for time in city council meeting
Ms. Schneider,
I would like to request the audience of the city council in the next meeting regarding the obligations and
expectations of Mediacom in the community. While the city sees this issue as one, I would like to make
a case as to the need to divide this issue for the positive outcome of an agreement with Mediacom to
continue to be an integral part of this city's development. I would like to offer perspective from both
sides of the issue, as I have experience on both sides. I would also like to address the tone for
communications between the city and Mediacom. My overall goal is to show that there exists a great
opportunity, where some see discontent over the situation. I would like to request a five to ten minute
window for presentation and time if necessary for follow-up questions and answers.
I would like it known that I have no vested interest in Mediacom, but have a vested interest in the
community and the immense possibilities that could be born of a good relationship between Mediacom
and the City of Dubuque.
